HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS
Designing with the topic of running and injury has been somewhat of a healing process for me. Beginning in high school I learned that I held value in my ability to run fast and over time began to think that it was the only piece of me that others valued as well. Throughout college, my relationship with running was emotional and draining. I started asking myself questions like "if I’m not a runner, then what else am I?" Although I have had time to make peace with myself and with running, I believe the joy and sadness I’ve experienced throughout my athletic career is something many people can identify with regardless of their passion.
